BONAKDAR
Born 1964 Emad Bonakdar started his studies on the acoustic guitar at the age of 19 under the guidance of Bahman Nassri. Because of musical interest and in addition to this former studies he also began to learn the flamenco guitar and its specialities in style. “Roots” ensemble was first started in 2000 by Massoud Shaari & Arash Mitooie. Concerning music as a specific language for the communication between different cultures & different people, they have produced a genre in music in which musical instruments can cooperate with each other freely and with no limitation; while their independent identity & personality is preserved. MEHRBANU

Mehrbanu was born in 1979 in Tehran, Iran.
Mehrbanu began singing when she was eight and her music teacher was Mrs. Mehrali.
Turning 14, she was introduced to Mrs. Sima Bina to learn folkloric music and songs. It was in the year 1999 that she began practicing Radif* near her other music instructor Mr. Mohsen Keramati. Simultaneously and before the decease of Dr. Hossein Omumi, Mehrbanu attended his classes, and learned how to harmonize music and poets.
